Male Pattern is a darkly comedic short film that explores masculinity, vanity, and mental unraveling through the lens of male hair loss. After discovering he’s going bald, a young man suffers a psychotic break and sets off on a surreal rampage, shaving the heads of unsuspecting men around town. Visually sharp and tonally unhinged, the film balances absurdity with emotional depth, confronting insecurity in its most raw—and ridiculous—form.

Red Omen is a somber, atmospheric western that follows a cowboy forced to kill his beloved horse after a tragic injury. Stranded and alone, he traverses vast, punishing landscapes, desert, forest, and everything in between, as nature mirrors his unraveling mind. Told with minimal dialogue and visual storytelling, the film is a quiet meditation on loss, isolation, and the bond between man and animal. In the end, unable to face life without his companion, he makes a final, haunting choice.

Created for the "Creating from Intuition" assignment at the David Lynch Screenwriting MFA program, October Sky is a surreal short that took me down a “fun” road of voyeurism, stargazing, and Hollywood dreams.
